What Makes Our Beer Unique. Locally malted barley from Valley Malt is incorporated into all of our beers. The barley is grown in Massachusetts, New York, and Maine. The brewery started a hop yard in Hadley in 2013 with 100 plants that includes 4 varieties. We are planting more rhizomes in 2014 and added 2 varieties to bring the total to 200 plants. We grow Cascade, Chinook, Centennial, Nugget, Sterling, and Neo1.
